Dr. Ernie Thompson was born in Portland and has lived in Oregon all of his life. He attended Wilson High School in Southwest Portland and went on to college at Brigham Young University. His education was interrupted for two years when he had the opportunity to serve as a missionary in Belgium. He still speaks a little bit of Flemish if prodded.

‍Upon returning to Brigham Young and after playing Baseball with them for two years before and after his mission, he got married and finished his college education at Portland State University. He then went to dental school graduating from the Oregon Health Sciences University here in Portland.

‍Dr. Ernie has practiced dentistry for 34 years and has been an associate in several practices over the years while building his own practice in Beaverton and Aloha. He also had a satellite office in Vernonia for nearly 12 years during those start up years. He recently sold his general practice in Aloha of Family and Cosmetic dentistry so he will have more time with family and his lovely wife, Jennifer. He is excited to be able to work a few days with his son, Jared, in his thriving and ever growing practice.

‍Dr. Ernie is the proud father of five children and eleven grandchildren and enjoys spending time with the family, hiking, golf, dutch oven cooking, and camping in the great northwest.
